JOB DUTIES:  Conduct in-depth security investigations using Splunk Enterprise Security (ES) to identify, analyze, and validate potential threats and anomalies from diverse log sources including firewalls, endpoints, servers, and network devices. Design, develop, and fine-tune correlation searches, dashboards, and notable event alerts in Splunk to enhance visibility and early detection of malicious activities and policy violations. Implement and maintain custom alerts and detection rules based on evolving threat intelligence feeds, incident trends, and specific client risk profiles to proactively identify potential compromises. Utilize advanced SPL (Search Processing Language) queries for forensic analysis, root cause identification, and tracing of Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) across multiple data sources. Onboard and integrate new data sources and log types (e.g., Syslog, Windows Event Logs, DNS, Proxy, Endpoint, and Cloud logs) into Splunk to expand monitoring and detection coverage. Work under supervision. 

Travel and/or Relocation to various unanticipated client sites throughout USA is required.

EDUCATION: Master’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology /Information Systems or closely related field.
